"Our inspirations for the motifs are photos, sketches, magazines, and our own drawings. The motif is built layer by layer with acrylic paint on a dark canvas. The precise details are carefully worked out with black and white, making the motif come alive and stand out brightly from the dark background.

After firing, it's time to paint. Gina will demonstrate the different types of glazes and this is how the clay works of art get their finishing touches.
